Currency traders of Uzbekistan daily establish new rates of foreign currencies, Kun.uz sources say.
According to sources, despite all the bans, the currency traders in Uzbekistan are actively continuing their illegal activities.
Several websites (dollaruz.net, dollaruz.top and dollar-uz.ru) and Telegram channels state that today, August 17, the US dollar on the black market is being sold for 9,350 soums and purchasing it for 9,250 soums.
Some Telegram channels report that in the Fergana Valley, the US dollar is being sold for 9,330 soums.
“The population is in no hurry to sell dollars, mostly they buy. Some are in panic. Various rumors have a particularly negative impact on the market. Everyone is waiting for the “peak”. Many people think that under such circumstances in the near future, they will sell the US dollar for 11-12 thousand soums. That is why many people prefer to keep their dollars “safe”,” one of the currency traders told a Kun.uz source.
It should be recalled that on August 15, the Central Bank established new exchange rates of foreign currencies. According to the regulator, the US dollar increased in value by 179 soums and amounted to 9,061 soums.
