Foreign Ministry comments on firefight between Uzbeks and Azerbaijanis

The Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan commented on the firefight between the Uzbeks and Azerbaijanis.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, on August 16, in the Frunze district of St. Petersburg, three Uzbek citizens were injured as a result of a group fight and gunplay from traumatic weapons.

One of them was hospitalized at the Saint Petersburg Research Institute of Emergency Medicine named after I. I. Dzhanelidze. His state of health is assessed as moderate.

“Law enforcement bodies are conducting investigative measures. The Consulate General has established contacts with the relevant government bodies and keeps the situation under control,” the Foreign Ministry said.
