XXI Senate plenary session to be held in Tashkent on August 23

Today, August 19, a meeting of the Senate Council of Oliy Majlis was held in Tashkent. 

The Council adopted a resolution on convening the XXI plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis on August 23 of this year in Tashkent.

Discussion of the progress in fulfilling the tasks defined in the state program for implementation of the action strategy for the year of active investment and social development is on the agenda of the plenary session.

Senators will also consider the following laws:

- “On guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for men and women”;

- “On protection of women from harassment and violence”;

- “On the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes”;

- “On supporting breastfeeding and food requirements for infants and young children”.

It should be recalled that on August 17 of this year, at the next meeting of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, deputies adopted the laws “On guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for men and women” and “On protection of women from harassment and violence” and sent them to the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
