Uzbek military to take part in “Center-2019” Russian exercises
The military of Uzbekistan will take part in the strategic command and staff exercises “Center-2019”, which will be held from September 16 to 21, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“To work out joint actions, the military contingents of the People’s Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of India, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan are involved in the exercises,” the statement said.
“Up to 12,950 people will be involved in the practical actions of troops at the Donguz, Totsky, Adanak military training camps in the European part of the Russian Federation (of which 10,700 are military personnel of the Russian Federation and 2,250 – other states). Also, around 250 tanks, 450 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, 200 artillery systems and multiple launch rocket systems will be attracted,” the Ministry of Defense specified.
In total, almost 130,000 people, more than 20,000 units of military equipment and weapons, and about 600 aircraft will be involved in the exercises.
