Ministry of Preschool Education: All 6-year-old children should be involved in compulsory one-year preschool groups
The Ministry of Preschool Education (MPE) organized 494 groups for 6-year-old children in Tashkent and the Fergana region as part of the one-year compulsory preschool education program. They cover 11,403 children.
This was announced at the “Avgust kengashi” conference held by the MPE.
“In the Turtkul district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 100% 6-year-old children are enrolled in compulsory one-year education,” the Deputy Minister of Preschool Education Sanjarbek Obidov said.
According to him, the model groups provide methods that stimulate interest in reading books and help develop critical thinking.
“On August 27, children of this group will be issued a state certificate, and when they go to the first grade at secondary public school, the difference between their indicators and other children will be studied,” Obidov explained.
The Deputy Minister stressed that by 2021, it is planned to attract 100% 6-year-old children to free pre-school education.
