Russia to help Uzbekistan introduce a product labeling system
The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan and the Russian Center for Development of Advanced Technologies have signed a memorandum on the introduction of digital labeling of certain goods, follows from the draft government decree published on the portal of discussing draft normative-legal acts.
Discussion of the project “On measures for phased implementation of the procedure for marking goods with identification tools and their further tracking” is planned to be completed on September 11.
According to the document, a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation was concluded between the State Oil Company and the LLC Center for Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), which provides for the consolidation of efforts and assistance in implementing projects to introduce digital marking and tracking of certain types of goods in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the decree, the CRPT created in Uzbekistan the LLC CRPT TURON to implement a pilot project from September this year to introduce digital marking of certain goods – cigarettes, beer and alcoholic beverages.
By April 2020, based on the pilot project results, it is planned to expand the list of labeled products, as well as create an electronic database for accounting of manufactured and imported products at the STC, the document says.
