Shavkat Mirziyoyev awards US Congressman Trent Kelly with Order Dustlik

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded Trent Kelly, a member of the US Congress, with the Order Dustlik (Friendship). The head of state signed the corresponding decree on August 29.

The order was awarded “for his great contribution to the development of strategic partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United States of America, the intensification of inter-parliamentary dialogue, assistance in enhancing the capacity of Uzbek parliamentarians in the field of lawmaking, the creation and further promotion of Caucus on Uzbekistan - a friendship group in the US Congress.”

The President also noted his effective work to expand trade, economic, military-technical and cultural-humanitarian ties, as well as widely informing the international community about the history and culture of Uzbekistan.
