Sheikh Abdulaziz Mansur becomes Deputy Director of Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent

Sheikh Abdulaziz Mansur has been appointed Deputy Director of the Islamic Civilization Center, the press service of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan reports.

Prior to that, Sheikh Abdulaziz Mansur served as Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

“Sheikh Abdulaziz Mansur has been appointed to this position to deepen the rich heritage of our great thinkers who have made an enormous contribution to the development of Islamic science, to put effort into reviving the scientific activity set up by them,” the report reads.

For information, Sheikh Abdulaziz Mansur (Abdulaziz Mansurov) was born in 1944 in the Fergana district, Fergana region.

He graduated from Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari (in 1979) and the Islamic University of Sudan (in 1981).

In 2018-2019, he served as the Chief Imam-Khatib of the city of Tashkent and the Imam of the Minor mosque.
