A criminal committing theft in a mosque in Tashkent detained
A thief, who committed theft in one of the mosques in Tashkent, was detained.
Reportedly, on 16 September, a 21-year-old man committed a theft at the “Chupon-ota” mosque, when an 18-year-old man went to pray. He stole the prayer’s briefcase with personal belongings and 894 thousand soums. Then the thief fled the scene of the crime.
He was soon detained. A criminal case has been instituted against the detainee under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
“Dear residents and guests of the capital. An attacker can come across your way even in the brightest and most revered places, so vigilance must always be maintained. Do not leave valuable things unattended,” the capital’s police department said.
