In the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara region, as part of implementing a wind farm project with the Chinese Corporation Liaoning Lide, a ceremonial event was held to install equipment on the met mast designed to measure wind power.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the total cost of the project is $1.8 billion with a production capacity of up to 1.5 thousand MW. For this, the regional khokimiyat allocated 6 thousand hectares of land. It is planned that the project will be implemented in three stages. At the first stage, construction of a 200 MW power plant is intended for $240 million foreign direct investment.
The event was attended by the regional khokim of Bukhara Uktam Barnoyev, the president of Liaoning Lide Zhang Yulian, representatives of the involved ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
President of the Chinese Corporation Zhang Yulian said that his company intends to continue to implement major investment projects in the field of RES in Uzbekistan, using the best international experience and modern technologies.
