At the Tashkent International Airport, a man, who was attempting to smuggle gold bullion in his mouth, was detained, the press service of the State Customs Committee (SCC) reported.

Reportedly, employees of the customs post “Tashkent-AERO” were suspicious of the strange behavior of a passenger M. A., while he was crossing the customs border through the “green” corridor to travel abroad.

“Customs officers were alerted by the fact that he was very nervous, as a result of which it was decided to conduct a thorough customs inspection with participation of witnesses using modern scanning equipment,” the SCC said.
