Privileges on import of expensive foreign-made cars to be canceled from January 1

From January 1, 2020, privileges on the import of expensive foreign-made cars will be canceled. This is approved by a presidential decree, signed on October 2.

Privileges for importing cars worth more than $40,000 entered into force on January 1, 2019.

From that date, a zero rate of import customs duty and an excise tax of 20% are applied to them. From January 1, 2020, all this will be canceled and the standard procedure for calculating the coefficient based on engine volume will again be applied to them.
