Ministry of Justice: Investment Visa holders are able to obtain residence permit in Uzbekistan for a 10-year period

Investment Visa holders are issued a residence permit for a period of 10 years, the Telegram-channel of the Justice Ministry reports.

This visa was introduced at the beginning of the year. It can be obtained by founders of enterprises (and their family members), who invest in Uzbekistan. Validity of the visa is three years with the possibility of extending it without leaving the republic.

In September, it became known that an Investment Visa will be issued to foreign citizens and stateless persons who invest in the economy of Uzbekistan starting from 8500 base calculating amounts.

According to the amendments, a foreign citizen who has made investments in the amount of $3 million is issued a residence permit in Uzbekistan for a period of 10 years (previously, it was issued for a period of 5 years for all foreign citizens).
