Salary of school teachers in Tashkent to increase

In Tashkent, the order of payment of monthly allowances to employees of secondary schools will be introduced. This was stated in an appropriate draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

In order to further develop schoolchildren's talents and abilities at primary grades, as well improve quality of the elementary education, the Tashkent city administration together with the Ministries of Finance and Public Education will introduce the position of “assistant teacher” to all primary classes with pupils enrolled in inclusive education from the academic year 2020-2021. Salary of such teachers is equal to 0.75 times the base rate of a teacher with higher education.

Starting from January 1, 2020, the Tashkent city administration together with the Ministries of Finance and Public Education, at the expense of local budgetary funds, will introduce the order of payment of monthly allowances to employees of secondary schools on the following basic tariff rates:

- 1.1 times for the second category teacher;

- 1.25 times for the first category teacher;

- 1.5 times for the highest category teacher.
