Regions of Uzbekistan that made the biggest contribution to country’s GDP formation announced
The city of Tashkent contributed 14.0% to the formation of the republican GDP. It is followed by the Tashkent region with 10.1% contribution and the Samarkand region – 7.6%.
As the State Statistics Committee reports, Syrdarya (2.1%), Jizzakh (2.9%), Khorezm (3.7%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.5%) accounted for the lowest share of the GDP formation throughout the republic.
According to the results of January-September 2019, the highest growth rates were recorded in the city of Tashkent (8.2%), Tashkent (7.3%), Namangan (7.2%), Andijan (6.9%), Khorezm (6.6%) and Fergana (6.1%) regions. At the same time, the lowest growth rates were observed in the Kashkadarya (2.8%), Syrdarya (3.8%) and Navoi (4.0%) regions.
In January-September 2019, the share of small business in the country’s GDP accounted for 57.2%. In the regions, the largest share of small businesses was observed in the Jizzakh (83.1% of the total added value in the region), Surkhandarya (79.8%) and Namangan (79.3%) regions. The smallest share of small businesses was registered in the Navoi region (31.3%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (53.4%) and the Tashkent region (53.6%).
