Meat products go up by 20%
During January-October, the peak in the growth of prices for meat products was recorded in August (6.3%). In October, the price increase for the group amounted to 1.7% per month.
According to the State Statistics Committee, since the beginning of this year, these products have risen in average by 20%. Most significantly during the indicated period, prices increased for beef (except boneless meat) - by 23.6% and mutton - by 21.2%.
In addition, rising prices for raw materials and increasing costs in the production and sale of products led to higher prices for the main types of meat processing products (minced meat, sausages, smoked products and others).
At the same time, in October 2019, prices for bakery products (8.8%), eggs (7.3%), meat, poultry and fish, as well as catering (1.7%) increased significantly more than others in a month.
