Fraudster, who promised to help with admission to the Interior Ministry Academy, detained in Tashkent
In Tashkent, a fraudster, who promised to help with admission to the Academy of the Interior Ministry for $2,200, has been detained.
37-year-old Shakhnoza I. appealed to the Bektemir district Department of the Internal Affairs body stating that in mid-May of the current year, 29-year-old Muhammad M. promised to help with her son's admission to the Academy of the Interior Ministry. The man also promised to arrange the admission of Shakhnoza’s daughter and her nephew to a school in the district.
For his “service”, the man took from Shakhnoza $1,900 and 3.5 million soums. Failing to fulfill the promise, he spent money on his own needs.
Currently, a criminal case has been instituted on this fact under Article 168 (“Fraud”) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
