Delegation of Uzbekistan in Antalya informs Turkish entrepreneurs about the investment climate in the country
On November 8, 2019, within the framework of participation at the 24th meeting of the OECD Council of Foreign Ministers in Turkey, the delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the First Deputy Foreign Minister Ilhom Nematov, visited the Antalya industrial zone.
The delegation members got acquainted with activities of the Turkish company “Demeter Sera”, which is specialized in the production of new generation greenhouse complexes. The head of the company Barış Gökçe, highly appreciating the efforts of the leadership of Uzbekistan to create favorable conditions for foreign investors, confirmed his interest in expanding activities in the republic both in agriculture and the textile industry.
In addition, negotiations were held with the management of Fiberli, one of the leading manufacturers of LED lighting in Turkey. Representatives of the Turkish side were informed about the investment climate in Uzbekistan. As a result, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of Fiberli managers to Uzbekistan to discuss opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Uzbek delegation also visited the Agricim plant, which produces biological fertilizers and crop protection products. The Turkish side was informed about the agricultural potential of Uzbekistan and expressed interest in exploring possible areas of cooperation in terms of organizing the joint production of organic products for the republic’s agriculture.
