Turkic Council Secretary General plans to visit Tashkent again to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment
On November 9, 2019, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilhom Nematov met in Antalya with the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev.
At the meeting, the CCTS Secretary General noted that the recent accession of Uzbekistan to the Turkic Council was a bright event for all the members of the organization. Amreyev emphasized that he was happy to witness this historic moment.
Fondly recalling the talks with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 4 this year in Tashkent, Baghdad Amreyev stated that it was an unforgettable meeting. “I saw enthusiasm and confidence in the eyes of the President and made a promise that I would make every effort to facilitate the economic processes in the republic, using the potential of Turkic Speaking States.”
Baghdad Amreyev expressed interest in visiting Tashkent again to hold talks with a number of ministries and departments of the republic to discuss specific issues related to Uzbekistan’s participation in the Turkic Council, as well as cooperation in investment, trade, transport communications and tourism spheres.
