Committee on Foreign Relations believes Central Asia’s development is associated with the development of Russia
The Chairman of Oliy Majlis Committee on Foreign Relations Alisher Kurmanov believes that the development of Central Asian countries is associated with the development of Russia. He stated this to reporters on the sidelines of the Valdai Discussion Club’s 10th Asian Conference in Samarkand.
“Development of Central Asia is undoubtedly connected with the development of Russia. Our cooperation has strong cultural roots. Today we are going through very serious integration processes, and we are interacting on a wide range of issues,” he said, commenting on the discussions at the conference.
“I am very pleased to say that about 10 Russian universities operate in Uzbekistan. Science is developing in our country and it is great,” the head of the Senate committee emphasized.
He also noted that in the context of the ongoing processes in Central Asia, the discussions at the conference allow us to look at various processes from the outside and understand what steps countries need to take.
“Different opinions are always good. I think that conclusions and recommendations of the conference participants will be heard by responsible authorities. A lot of questions are voiced from the point of view of participants from different countries, which is very important,” Kurmanov said.
