Zagros Airlines enters market of Uzbekistan
Based on the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Uzaviation Agency considered the application of Zagros Airlines, the Iranian company, on operating direct flights en route Tehran-Tashkent-Tehran.
In accordance with the agreement, Zagros Airlines has entered the passenger transportation market of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Civil Aviation Agency “Uzaviation”.
Zagros Airlines is an Iranian airline headquartered in Tehran and based at Abadan International Airport.
Founded in 2005 in Abadan, Iran, the airline uses Mehrabad International Airport and Abadan International Airport as its operating bases.
In 2007, Zagros Airlines started its first international route from Tehran to the Syrian capital of Damascus. In September 2013, the airline took delivery of an Airbus A320-200. In January 2016, Zagros Airlines acquired Iran's first A319.
