Abdulaziz Kamilov discusses prospects for resolving the Afghan issue with members of the EU Political and Security Committee

On November 13, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met in Brussels with members of the EU Political and Security Committee.
The parties at the meeting noted with satisfaction that the Central Asian region today is one of the few examples of positive dynamics in strengthening political trust between states and joint solution of regional problems on the principles of mutual consideration of interests and reasonable compromises. Role of the initiatives put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was especially noted.
Issues related to the prospects for resolving the situation in Afghanistan and efforts to launch a comprehensive peace political process there were also considered during the talks.
