Media: Three people killed in an accident in Yunusabad

At least three people have been killed in an incident (partial collapse) that occurred today in the Yunasabad line of Tashkent metro, a representative of the Interior Ministry told Kun.uz.

It was reported that previously, two corpses were dug out from the ground and another dead body was found during the search and rescue operations.

At present, at the instruction of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a government commission has been set up to deal with the consequences of the Yunusabad accident. The commission, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov, has been tasked with investigating the causes and effects of the incident, providing immediate assistance to victims and their families.

Today, December 18 at around 10:00, a landslide occurred in an open section of a construction site in the Yunusabad metro line. It is not yet known how many people were left under the ground.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations is expected to provide official information on the consequences of the incident soon.
