Tax revenues increase 1.5 times in 2019
In 2019, tax revenues remitted to the state budget increased by 155% compared to 2018. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Tax Committee (STC) Behzod Musayev.
According to Musayev, the Committee’s annual plan (75 trillion soums) has already been fulfilled in early December.
“Moreover, additional fee worth 8 trillion soums has been planned, which will be raised by the end of the year,” the STC Chairman said at a press conference on Tuesday.
Reportedly, remittances worth 19 trillion soums should have been allocated to the Pension Fund. In fact, 25 trillion soums have been allocated, that is to say, the Fund will start the new year with reserve.
Speaking about employees in the system, the head of the Committee said that while hiring for the tax authorities, recruitment by nepotism has been eliminated.
“Currently, the tax system employs more than 12,000 employees, 33% of whom are under 30 years of age. Female employees increased from 6% to 20%. The majority of employees was recruited this year through website announcements,” Behzod Musayev said.
He also added that since the beginning of the year, 98,600 complaints have been registered by the STC call center.
