How many off days will citizens have during New Year holidays?
During the New Year holidays, people in Uzbekistan, who work five days a week, can enjoy off days for three consecutive days.
According to the presidential decree “On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official holidays and the postponement of off days in 2020”, people who work 5 days a week, will have off days on December 31, January 1 and 2.
- December 31, 2019 – Tuesday (rescheduled off day);
- January 1, 2020 – Wednesday (public holiday);
- January 2, 2020 – Thursday (postponed off day);
Attention should be paid to the fact that December 28 and January 4 will be working days.
People of Uzbekistan, who work 6 days a week, will rest for two days. They will work on December 30-31.

The decree says that in budgetary organizations, the extra off day is compensated by reducing the length of the annual labor leave of workers by one working day.
