Additional bus and train services to be arranged for students on domestic routes during winter breaks
To accommodate approximately 118,000 students traveling from Tashkent to various regions for the winter holidays, authorities are implementing additional transportation measures to ensure their safe and efficient travel.
A meeting, chaired by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, was held to discuss the organization of students’ trips to their permanent residences during the winter holidays, as well as ensuring they have meaningful holiday experiences. The discussions focused on creating the necessary conditions for students to spend their holidays with their families.
As reported, practical measures will be undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport to ensure the safe movement of students.
By December 26, additional bus and train routes will be organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, if necessary.
If the number of students wishing to travel in the same direction from Tashkent exceeds 40, a bus service will be arranged.
Previously, it was reported that students could purchase airline and train tickets at a 50% discount.
