The delegation of the US State Department will be received by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The program of the visit provides for bilateral negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which it is planned to discuss the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Uzbek-American summit in May 2018 in Washington. The parties will also exchange views on international issues.
“In Tashkent, the Secretary will participate in a C5+1 Ministerial with the foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan to discuss our shared interest in peace and stability in Afghanistan, and future cooperative efforts in the region.
