During the event, the head of the agency Bakhtiyor Tursunov told how many corpses of Uzbek citizens were brought back to the Republic in 2019.
“It is very tragic when a person leaves to work in foreign countries and dies there. In 2019, the corpses of 308 Uzbeks were brought back to the country. According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations provides practical assistance in delivering the bodies of our citizens, who were in labor migration and died abroad,” he said.
Bakhtiyor Tursunov said that this process does not take much time and money. To do this, you need an identity document, as well as a death certificate.
It also became known that the expense is usually 1-1.5 thousand US dollars. These are transportation costs, documentation, etc.
