At the end of 2019, Tashkent hosted the presentation of the first ISUZU D-Max pickup truck, made in Uzbekistan.
The car is available in seven models and seven colors, Spot writes.
Sales started in January 2020.
Pickups run on diesel, which is environmentally friendly and economical in consumption. For the domestic market, three models of Isuzu D-Max are available:
D-MAX SAHAR. Single row cabin, two passenger seats. Engine capacity of 2.5 liters, manual gearbox – 270 million soums.
D-MAX OKSUS. Two-row cabin, four passenger seats. Engine capacity of 2.5 liters, manual gearbox – 340 million soums.
D-MAX IRBIS. Two-row cabin, four passenger seats. Engine displacement of 3 liters, automatic transmission – 380 million soums.
Pickups are sold in Uzbekistan by eight dealerships located in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Urgench.
“On January 20-24 of this year, SamAuto plant for the first time shipped new cars. The first batch included nine pickups. Customers prefer the D-MAX IRBIS modification,” the company’s press service said.
Earlier, Spot wrote that Japanese companies are investing in the automotive industry of Uzbekistan. By 2021, SamAuto will increase production to 10,000 units. It will include buses, trucks and pickups.
