Deadline for transfer of study from neighboring countries to Uzbekistan extended 

“The deadline for transfer of study from neighboring countries to Uzbekistan has been extended until March 15 of the current year”, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education said.

“Taking into account the numerous requests from students studying at higher education institutions in neighboring countries (Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan) and their parents, the deadline for applications is extended until March 15,” the statement of the ministry reads.

Earlier it was reported that applications for transferring documents would be accepted until February 15.

The Ministry also warned students and their parents that no additional requirements and tests during the transfer will be allowed.

Applications for study transfer are accepted based on the following criteria:

  • permanent residence of the citizen (if local universities cannot offer place or do not offer relevant bachelor’s degree program, students may be recommended to other higher education institutions); 
  • the correspondence of the undergraduate program studied abroad to the undergraduate program offered in local university (if there is no such a course, related spheres will welcome documents);
  • recommending them mainly to distance-learning or evening courses, taking into account peculiarities of undergraduate study program abroad;
  • existing facilities of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan (teaching materials and curriculum, including the coefficient of shift, the level of teaching staff, etc.) are taken into account when transferring students. 

Citizens are requested to submit the following documents to the Regional working groups:

  • application (filled in on-site);
  • record book or academic transcript (copy);
  • passport copy.
