Shavkat Mirziyoyev meets with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara
Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on a visit in Turkey, met with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

Prior to their meeting, President Erdoğan welcomed President Mirziyoyev into the Presidential Complex with an official ceremony. After the national anthems of Turkey and Uzbekistan were played, Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the guard of honor.

Following the mutual introduction of the delegations, the two leaders posed for the press and headed inside the Presidential Complex to hold their meeting.
During the meeting, as Kun.uz correspondent reports, the sides discussed issues of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, implementation of new projects and programs.


The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The first meeting of the Uzbekistan-Turkey Strategic Cooperation Council is expected to be held in Ankara.

The Council is a new format of communication in the history of bilateral relations. It was created in 2018 in accordance with the Joint Statement of Heads of State.
