In Tashkent, Uzbekistan Aviation Airports Logistics Forum (UAALF-2020) started its work, Kun.uz correspondent reports.

At the opening ceremony of the event, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov spoke about subsidies paid for charter flights.

“Uzbekistan is currently offering the largest subsidy for charter flights. For example, if there are 300 passengers in the peak tourist season, the government will pay $6,000 per flight, in other words, $20 per passenger. If a 300-seat aircraft, which will operate from November 15 to February 15 during the low-flow season, transports foreign visitors to Uzbekistan, the payment will grow up to $15,000. I think this is the amount of subsidy that will be of great interest to many carriers,” Aziz Abdukhakimov said.

The two-day event, which will be held from 19 to 20 February, has involved around 130 international organizations, including Boing and Jetcraft (USA), Air Charter Service (UK), Bombardier Business Jets (Canada), TLD (India), Luftansa Consulting (Germany), EGIS (France), ATR (Spain), Kuwait Airways (Kuwait), Air Arabia and BGT Events (UAE), Gulf Air (Bahrain), Korean Air and Asiana Airlines (South Korea), Azerbaijan Airlines (Azerbaijan), Aeroflot and IrAero (Russia), Al Masria (Egypt), Zagros Airlines (Iran), Pegasus Airlines and Turkish Airlines (Turkey), Mitsubishi Corporation, Air Astana (Kazakhstan) and others.
