IFC helps Uzbekistan attract investors to modernize airports
Uzbekistan’s Transport Ministry received a delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) led by Wiebke Schloemer, Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
The parties discussed the organization of consultations on attracting foreign investors for the modernization and management of airports in Uzbekistan, the ministerial press service said.
The Minister informed Wiebke Schloemer about large-scale reforms in the field of civil aviation in Uzbekistan in recent years, and presented plans for 2020. The sides also exchanged views on improving the operation of airports and improving the quality of service.
During the negotiations, the parties agreed on cooperation in the implementation of investment projects on the basis of public-private partnership.
