Uzbekistan to bring back citizens from Iran
14 Uzbek drivers and other citizens of our country, a total of 28 people, who have remained at the Lutfabad border post due to the closure of the Iran-Turkmenistan border will return Uzbekistan.
The aircraft, assigned by the Ministry of Defense to deliver humanitarian aid to Iran, will bring back 28 Uzbeks who are currently in Iran. They will be placed in quarantine for two weeks upon arrival.
“The airplane, assigned by the Ministry of Defense to deliver humanitarian aid to Iran, will bring back 28 citizens of our country. Upon their return, they and the crew members will be quarantined for two weeks under the supervision of qualified physicians and experts,” the official website of the Government reports.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan would send humanitarian aid to Iran on a special flight. The aid includes sterile medical gloves, protective suits, special medical uniforms, masks, gauze, rubbing alcohol, hygienic gels and medicines.
