Rustam Jurayev appointed commander of Uzbekistan’s National Guard
Major General Rustam Jurayev has been appointed commander of the National Guard of Uzbekistan.

Prior to his appointment, Rustam Jurayev worked as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – the head of the Tashkent DIA.
Previously, Bakhodir Tashmatov held this position.
He was appointed to this post by presidential decree of August 4, 2017. On January 14, 2019, he was awarded the rank of Colonel General.
