100 million soums compensation to be paid to doctors who are infected with coronavirus during treatment of other patients

On March 26, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired an extended video-conference meeting on the epidemiological situation in the country and ongoing activities to prevent the spread of the virus.

At the meeting, the head of state said that 11 doctors were among the patients who were infected with COVID-19.

According to the Chief State Sanitary Inspector Nurmat Otabekov, 13 of the patients had pneumonia.

Health condition of four of those patients have been assessed as critical by doctors, he added.

It is noted that 100 million soums will be paid to medical workers who were infected during the treatment of patients with coronavirus.
