Chinese military-industrial complex companies delivered 20 tons of humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan, which consists of medical means of protection against the spread of COVID-19, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the press service of the Defense Ministry.
“Chinese companies supplied 20 tons of medical protective equipment to Uzbekistan as humanitarian aid,” a representative of the Defense Ministry said.
There are Norinko, Hytera, Poly Technology among the consignors. Humanitarian aid was delivered by the military air force of Uzbekistan.
The cargo included disposable medical masks and gloves, goggles and thermal imagers.
“The bulk of aid will be distributed among military personnel, law enforcement officials and medical personnel involved in ensuring the quarantine regime in the country,” the Ministry of Defense added.
It should be recalled that in Uzbekistan, the number of people infected with coronavirus reached 145 as of March 30.
