Nearly 180 Uzbek citizens who arrived from Egypt discharged from the NMMC quarantine facility
Almost 180 citizens of Uzbekistan, who arrived on a charter flight from Egypt to Navoi, stayed under quarantine for two weeks. None of them tested positive for COVID-19 infection, the regional khokimiyat said in its Telegram channel.
“178 citizens were discharged from quarantine and sent to their homes. Not a single case of coronavirus infection was found among them,” the report said.
Reportedly, on March 18, 178 citizens arrived from Egypt on a charter flight and were placed under quarantine for 14 days at the health center of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NMMC). All discharged citizens were taken to their places of residence on special buses.
It should be recalled that since March 16, the Foreign Ministry, embassies and consulates of Uzbekistan have been compiling lists of citizens of the republic who want to return to their homeland. Special charter flights were organized for them.
To date, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 190.
