Robbers steal a safe from an enterprise closed for quarantine

On April 1, 76-year-old Kasam S. appealed to the Internal Affairs Department of the Yakkasaray district, reporting that unidentified persons broke into the premises of the enterprise, where he works as a director and stole a safe with $4,100 and 45 million soums inside. The company was temporarily closed for quarantine and therefore there was no security.
Police officers conducted a thorough inspection of the scene, checked fingerprints and videos from surveillance cameras.
“It was identified that at about 04:50 a.m. on March 21 two unknown people broke into the office and after 25 minutes left with a safe. According to this fact, the investigation department of the Yakkasaray district DIA filed a criminal case under Article 169 (“Theft”), part 3, paragraph C of the Criminal Code,” the report says.
During investigative and operational measures, officers identified the car the suspects were driving, and, consequently, their identities. One of the suspects is 21-year-old Oybek K. (not convicted previously), the second - Eldor M. (previously convicted). Both suspects were detained. The safe, stolen from the office, was in the basement of the latter’s house, it was seized as evidence.
The investigation is underway and the involvement of other people in this crime is being checked. According to Oybek K., a duplicate of the key to the office was given by a person familiar with the enterprise’s director.
