Survey: More than 40 percent of respondents think online lessons being broadcast live on TV channels need improvement

Little more than 40 percent of respondents said the online classes could be improved if specialists worked on their quality.

Recently we have conducted a survey in our Telegram channel to find out how effective the online lessons are for school children.

It should be recalled that starting from March 16, activities of all educational institutions throughout the country, including schools, have been temporarily suspended to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. In order to not let students and school children be left without proper education during the quarantine period, the Special Republican Commission, in collaboration with relevant ministries, proposed to conduct classes online. Thus, from March 30, a number of TV channels started broadcasting online classes for school children, specially developed by experienced teachers.

However, a lot of social network users expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of lessons, saying children are not learning enough from them.

To find out more about what people think of online classes, we have conducted a survey among our users in our Telegram channel, more than 300 people expressed their views in the survey.

28 percent of the respondents said that the online lessons are proving effective, that is, children are learning from them well. 30 percent of participants of the survey assessed the lessons as “not effective”, which means children are not learning anything from them. Another 42 percent of respondents expressed the view that the lessons could be improved in quality so that they become effective.

Hopefully, the Ministry of Public Education will take this into consideration and work on improving the quality of classes.
