Republican Commission extends quarantine until May 10
The Special Republican Commission for combating the coronavirus adopted additional decisions.
“The comprehensive measures taken to combat the coronavirus in the country and, most importantly, the conscious transition of our citizens to the regime of “self-isolation” and the principle of “social distancing” made it possible to control the spread of infection,” the report says.
According to the decision of the Special Republican Commission, restrictive measures (quarantine), as well as an enhanced procedure to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection, are extended until May 10.
It should be recalled that from March 30 to April 20, traffic in Tashkent, Nukus and regional centers is allowed on the basis of special permits (stickers) issued by State Services Centers.
In addition, large cities introduced a regime of self-isolation. Citizens can go out only in urgent cases: for visiting grocery stores, pharmacies (located next to the house) and medical facilities. An exception is the need to go to work. Pensioners over 65 years of age and people with chronic illnesses are strictly forbidden to leave their homes unless it is extremely necessary.
Since March 30, all airports in the country have completely ceased operations.
