Movement of vehicles without a special sticker at certain times of the day permitted from April 30
The Special Republican Commission to combat the spread of the coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan has announced its new decision which eases a number of quarantine restrictions.
In accordance with the document, starting from April 30, 2020:
- citizens are allowed to operate all types of personal and service vehicles without special permission (sticker) between 07:00 and 10:00 in the morning and from 17:00 to 20:00 in the evening to travel to work or go for medicine or foodstuffs;
- citizens can walk in places adjacent to multi-storey houses in cities and districts and in the courtyards, keeping the social distance (2 meters) and wearing a mask. Children under 14 years of age should be accompanied by parents;
- heads of higher education and research institutions, as well as professors, are allowed to resume the activities of laboratories in order to continue scientific work.
In addition, legal entities and individuals growing agricultural products are allowed to travel between regions (including the city of Tashkent) and districts in their personal and service cars. The main purpose is to facilitate the delivery of agricultural and food products. Employees of the internal affairs bodies will help them reach their destinations quickly, taking convenient routes.
It should be noted that while traveling in public places, markets and authorized retail outlets everyone is required to strictly comply with the appropriate sanitary and hygienic rules established by the Special Republican Commission.
