Center for collecting humanitarian aid for Sardoba district victims organized in Tashkent
Everyone can bring things, foodstuffs and clothing to the parking lot near the Navruz restaurant.
The Tashkent city khokimiyat and the Department of Internal Affairs, supporting the initiative of volunteers, organized a centralized humanitarian aid collection point for those who are affected by the dam breakthrough at the Sardoba reservoir, the press service of the capital’s khokimiyat reported.
Every day everyone can bring things, foodstuffs, clothes to the parking lot near the Navruz restaurant (landmark - Palace of People’s Friendship) in the following order:
- from 07:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00 all interested citizens in their private cars;
- from 10:00 to 20:00 - in cars with special stickers.
“From here, your assistance will be sent to the Syrdarya region in special buses (trucks) in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards.
We kindly request: in order to avoid misunderstandings and fraud, do not collect or send money to accounts or bank cards.
An assistance account for victims of the Syrdarya region will be announced promptly,” the message says.
