Mild earthquake hits Fergana Valley
An earthquake on the Sino-Kyrgyz border was felt in the Fergana Valley.
Mild tremors were felt in Uzbekistan on May 6 at 15:51, after an earthquake of magnitude 5 jolted the Sino-Kyrgyz border, the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
The coordinates are 39.79 degrees north latitude and 73.93 degrees east longitude. The distance to Tashkent is 431 km south-east.
The strength of tremors in Uzbekistan:
Namangan - 234 km, 2 points;
Andijan - 174 km, 3 points;
Fergana - 194 km, 2 points.
