Over 4 thousand flood-affected people in Syrdarya received new bank cards to claim compensation
New bank cards have been issued to 4,351 flood-affected homeowners to claim their compensation. They were charged no fees for banking services.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Murod Sodiqov informed about the work being done in the flood-affected areas of the Syrdarya region.
He noted that to date, the Xalq Bank has issued new plastic cards to 4,351 homeowners affected by the flood to claim their compensation. They were charged no fees for banking services. Also, the lost bank cards of 294 people were restored.
“In addition, the repayment period of bank loans worth 186.2 billion soums of the flood-affected population and businesses has been extended to 6 months.
Also, 541 severely damaged houses are being repaired,” Murod Sodiqov said at an online briefing.
Besides, biometric passports of 1,349 citizens have been restored so far. As a result of the re-examination, 1,116 passports have been found. Currently, the passports of 983 citizens are being restored. Reportedly, 818 birth certificates, 12 death certificates and 291 marriage certificates were restored.
For information, the documents of the population lost during the flood will be restored at the expense of the state.
Earlier it was reported that more than 4.5 thousand flood-affected families would receive 40 million soums.
