The Government of Uzbekistan has approved the list of information in the field of execution of sentences related to deprivation of liberty subject to declassification, Norma writes.
It includes data:
• on the number of persons held in penitentiary institutions and remand centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
• on the number and location of penal institutions and detention centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
• on the production activities of the penitentiary institutions, the goods manufactured by them according to the nomenclature and in monetary terms;
• on the number of deaths among persons held in penitentiary institutions and remand centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
• on the number of convicts held in penal institutions with respect to which compulsory medical measures are applied.
The decision was made as part of a course to increase the openness and transparency of the activities of internal affairs bodies, especially in the field of the execution of sentences at penal institutions.
