State Testing Center: Applicants will take exams only in two subjects this year
As an exception, in the 2020-2021 academic year, entrance exams will be held in 2 specialty subjects. This was announced at a briefing chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Social Development Behzod Musayev.
According to Musayev, this year, as an exception, tests in 3 compulsory subjects will be abolished (native language, history of Uzbekistan and mathematics).
Only 2 specialty subjects will remain.
In this case, the points are determined as follows:
Block 1 - 30 questions, each correct answer is worth 3.2 points, a total of 96 points;
Block 2 - 30 questions, each correct answer is worth 3.1 points, a total of 93 points.
This year’s test participants can score a maximum of 189 points, just as they could last year.
Test takers will be given a total of 3 hours to solve the test questions and copy the answers to a special answer sheet.
To note, on April 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the problems in the sphere of education in the current academic year, as well as to analyze works in the organization of final and entrance exams. He then instructed to simplify the state exams this year.
The State Testing Center later announced that it is planning to leave only 2 specialty subjects in the admission exams.
