SSS will request information from foreign airlines about passengers arriving in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan introduced a procedure requesting foreign airlines to provide preliminary information to security services about passengers arriving in the country.
In order to increase the efficiency and simplification of border control procedures, as well as considering the standards and recommended practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Uzbekistan introduced a mandatory procedure for the provision of preliminary information about passengers by all foreign aircraft operators.
In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the Resolution “On approval of the Regulation on providing preliminary information about passengers by operators of foreign aircraft to Border Forces of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan.”
According to the State Committee for Tourism Development, from July 1, 2020, all operators of foreign aircrafts organizing flights to Uzbekistan will provide preliminary information on passengers in the standard format of ICAO to the Border Troops of the State Security Service.
SSS Border Forces also developed a system to process the initial data on passengers.
Aviation administrations of foreign countries and foreign aircraft will be notified of the system of mandatory submission of preliminary information about passengers to the SSS Border Forces.
It was noted that the introduction of this procedure will create additional convenience for foreign tourists to enter, stay and leave the country.
