Uzbekistan planning to resume international flights
Uzbekistan is preparing a proposal to resume international flights, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing Botirjon Kurbanov said during a live broadcast on the Uzreport TV channel.
“In cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, a proposal is being prepared on the gradual resumption of international flights, taking into account the epidemiological situation in foreign countries,” Kurbanov said.
He stressed that the final decision of the Special Republican Commission on the above issue will be announced later.
It should be recalled that on March 16, Uzbekistan closed air and road links with other countries. Railway traffic was closed three days later, on May 19.
In addition, Uzbekistan imposed a complete ban on the entry of foreigners and the departure of citizens from the country.
