Uzbekistan brought back nearly 1.8 thousand fellow citizens from the UAE
As of Thursday morning, about 1.8 thousand fellow citizens had returned by charter flights from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Uzbekistan.
As the Dunyo information agency reports, when compiling passenger lists, special attention was paid to seriously ill people, pregnant women, senior citizens (over 55 years old), families with children, students, tourists, and persons serving their sentences in the UAE penitentiaries.
Since March 15 this year, more than 600 citizens of Uzbekistan, with the help of the diaspora and local authorities, have been accommodated in hotels and hostels in the city of Dubai free of charge, they were provided with three meals a day. More than 1,000 citizens in a difficult situation in the UAE were provided with food.
In addition, doctors and nurses from Uzbekistan, who are working in medical facilities in the UAE, organized free consultations for sick and needy fellow citizens. They were provided with medicines.
